GoNorth! On The News Stand

"Chukotka, Russia: with 288.000 sq miles an area the size of Texas located in the most far eastern corner of the Asian continent, 9 time zones away from Moscow, a day ahead of Alaska and only an hour flight from Nome Alaska. This region, home to the Native Chukchi and Yupik Inuit was our destination, the second leg of our five-year adventure learning series GoNorth!.

Our original plans had us traveling with our two Polar Husky teams and four people from Provideniya, through the Bering Strait north to Uelen then heading west following the coast line of the Arctic Ocean to Pevek, a total of approximately 1,000 miles.
